1.2 By accessing the Website, applying for membership, registering for events, or using any services provided by CCHKA, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. About CCHKA

Corporate Counsel Hong Kong Association (CCHKA) is a professional membership organisation established to support and advance Hong Kong’s community of in‑house and corporate counsel through professional training, continuing professional development, networking events, and knowledge‑sharing initiatives.

3. Eligibility and Membership

3.1 Membership is available to eligible individuals and organisations in accordance with the membership categories published on the Website.

3.2 All applications for membership are subject to CCHKA’s approval at its absolute discretion.

3.3 Membership fees:

• are payable in advance;
• are non‑refundable, unless otherwise required by law;
• are valid for the subscription period stated at the time of registration.

3.4 CCHKA reserves the right to amend membership eligibility criteria, benefits, and fees from time to time.

4. Member Accounts

4.1 Members are responsible for ensuring that all information provided to CCHKA is true, accurate and complete.

4.2 Members shall keep their login credentials confidential and shall remain responsible for all activities conducted through their accounts.

4.3 CCHKA shall not be liable for any loss arising from unauthorised access caused by a member’s failure to safeguard account credentials.

5. Use of the Website

5.1 You agree not to:

• use the Website for any unlawful purpose;
• interfere with the proper operation or security of the Website;
• upload or transmit malicious code or harmful material;
• reproduce, copy or scrape Website content without authorisation.

5.2 CCHKA may suspend or terminate access to the Website at any time if these Terms are breached.

6. Events, CPD Training and Educational Content

6.1 CCHKA organises seminars, workshops, webinars, networking events and professional development programmes.

6.2 Event details (including speakers, timing, format and content) may be changed or cancelled at CCHKA’s discretion.

6.3 CPD accreditation (where offered) is subject to the requirements of relevant professional or regulatory bodies.
CCHKA does not guarantee acceptance of CPD credits by any third‑party authority.

6.4 Event materials are provided for personal professional use only and may not be reproduced or distributed without prior written consent.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 All intellectual property rights in the Website, the CCHKA name, logos, publications, training materials and event content vest in CCHKA or its licensors.

7.2 No licence is granted except as expressly stated under these Terms.

8. Fees and Payments

8.1 All fees are stated in Hong Kong Dollars (HKD) unless otherwise specified.

8.2 Payment must be made via the methods made available on the Website.

8.3 CCHKA shall not be responsible for acts, omissions, or fees of third‑party payment processors.

9. Personal Data and Privacy

9.1 CCHKA is a “data user” for the purposes of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) and complies with the Data Protection Principles set out therein.

14.1 CCHKA may amend these Terms from time to time.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts.
